Vertices ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use our services, including our website, job board, candidate profiles, resume tools, AI-powered features, and paid, one-time digital services.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly and information automatically collected when you use our services.

a. Information You Provide:

  • Name, email address, phone number, and other contact information
  • Resume, work history, skills, job preferences, and profile details
  • Any other information you choose to provide while using our services

b. Information We Collect Automatically:

  • Browser and device information
  • IP address and location data
  • Usage information such as pages visited, clicks, and search activity

This information helps us provide, improve, and personalize our services.

2. User Accounts

Users create accounts to access Vertices services. We store authentication data securely and recommend keeping your credentials private. Users are responsible for all activity under their accounts.

We use your information to:

  • Provide and maintain our services
  • Personalize your experience and recommend jobs
  • Process resumes and profiles for career insights and job matching
  • Share selected profile information with potential employers for job applications
  • Communicate updates, alerts, and marketing (if you opt in)
  • Monitor and improve service performance
  • Ensure compliance with legal obligations
  • Process one-time purchases of paid features, verify payments, and grant, track, and restore the resulting credits or entitlements
  • Detect and prevent fraud, payment abuse, and attempts to circumvent usage limits

4. Paid Services and Payments

Vertices offers certain paid, one-time digital and AI-powered resume features (such as resume review, resume tailoring, and resume upgrades). Payments for these features are processed through Razorpay, a third-party payment gateway.

a. Payment and Transaction Information We Collect:

  • Order ID, payment/transaction ID, and the feature or entitlement purchased
  • Amount, currency, and payment status
  • Timestamps of purchase, payment, and any refund, reversal, or dispute
  • Invoice or tax information, where applicable

b. What We Do Not Collect or Store:

Vertices does not directly collect or store sensitive payment credentials such as full card numbers, CVV, UPI PINs, or internet banking passwords. These details are entered directly into Razorpay's secure payment interface and are handled solely by Razorpay in accordance with applicable card network and payment security standards.

c. How We Use Payment Information:

  • Processing purchases and verifying payment status with Razorpay
  • Granting, tracking, consuming, and restoring paid credits or entitlements associated with your account
  • Providing payment support and processing eligible refunds
  • Detecting and preventing fraud, payment abuse, chargeback abuse, and attempts to circumvent usage limits
  • Maintaining accurate financial, accounting, and tax records

We retain transaction, invoice, refund, and dispute-related records for as long as necessary to comply with legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution obligations, even after an associated account is deleted.

In accordance with Reserve Bank of India (RBI) data localization requirements, payment and transaction data of Indian customers is stored on servers located in India.

5. Use of AI Services

Vertices uses AI services, including Azure OpenAI, to power a range of features, including:

  • Resume parsing and analysis
  • Resume review and scoring
  • Resume building and improvement
  • Resume tailoring to specific jobs
  • Job recommendations and matching
  • Personalized career insights

When using these services:

  • Your data (such as resume content, profile details, or job search activity) may be sent to our AI service providers, including Azure OpenAI, to generate outputs.
  • We do not use your data to train our own AI models.
  • According to Microsoft's published policy for Azure OpenAI, prompts and outputs submitted through Azure OpenAI are not used to train Microsoft's foundation models. See Microsoft's Privacy Statement below for Microsoft's current terms.
  • We implement appropriate safeguards to protect your data while it is processed by AI services, and we limit the data shared with AI providers to what is necessary to deliver the requested feature.

We use cookies and similar technologies to understand site usage and improve our services. You can manage or disable cookies via your browser settings.

Vertices is not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide our services or as required by law. When you delete your account, we will remove your personal data from our systems within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required by law, including transaction, invoice, refund, and dispute-related records associated with paid features, which we retain as described in the Paid Services and Payments section above.

13. Security Breach Notification

In the event of a security breach affecting personal data, Vertices will notify affected users promptly and take appropriate remedial actions.

14. Third-Party Data Sources

Vertices may access job listings and related information via Applicant Tracking System (ATS) APIs, public sources, job platforms, data feeds, and job-data partners.

  • We only retrieve information necessary to display jobs or enhance user experience.
  • We comply with the terms of use of each API provider, platform, or partner.
  • Vertices does not store sensitive data from employers or job-data sources beyond what is necessary for providing the service.
