Fashion Buying and Merchandising (E-Commerce/ AI/ Fashion design)

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end buying activities, including assortment planning, vendor selection, price negotiation, and purchase order management for fashion categories.
• Manage a team of Fashion Designers & work in close collaboration with data science, and operations teams to build AI-informed assortments that meet customer demand and margin targets.
• Analyze sales and customer data, identifying trends, planning seasonal and core collections, and optimizing inventory levels across channels.
• Manage supplier relationships, oversee product development timelines, track quality and delivery performance.
• Monitor competitive landscapes, testing new product lines, and providing strategic input on pricing, promotions, and expansion opportunities.

Good to have:

• Strong experience in Fashion buying and merchandising and managing a team including assortment planning and price negotiation.
• Must have worked in an E-Commerce setup /startup background.
• Prior experience in managing AI & tech savvy Fashion Designers.
• Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales, inventory, and customer data; comfort working with data tools and dashboards.
• Proven track record in demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and margin management within fashion environments.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, product, marketing, operations, data science) and influence decisions in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong stakeholder management and presentation abilities
• Demonstrated capability to work on-site, take ownership, and make data-informed decisions under time-sensitive conditions.
