BIM Architect

Company Description At Base Set Design Co., a multidisciplinary team of architects, interior designers, and engineers delivers coordinated, buildable documentation for hospitality, retail, and commercial projects. The studio partners with international design teams, consultants, and operators to support both rapid rollout programs and bespoke, high-end developments across Australia, APAC, the Middle East, and India. Services span architecture, interiors, BIM coordination, and construction documentation, covering projects from early planning and test fits through feasibility, tender, and IFC delivery. The focus is on practical, construction-ready documentation that maintains design intent while improving structure, consistency, and efficiency at every stage of project delivery.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site BIM Architect role based in Chennai. The BIM Architect will develop and manage detailed architectural and construction drawings, models, and documentation for hospitality, retail, and commercial projects in coordination with internal teams and international partners. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and maintaining BIM models, coordinating across disciplines to resolve design and documentation issues, preparing submittals, and ensuring drawings are accurate, compliant, and construction-ready. The role involves supporting project delivery from early design stages through tender and IFC, aligning BIM output with design intent, project standards, and client requirements, while contributing to continuous improvement of workflows and templates.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Architecture, with ability to interpret and develop Architectural Drawings.
• Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM), including model setup, coordination, and clash resolution.
• Experience producing detailed Construction Drawings aligned with local codes and international standards.
• Ability to prepare and review Submittals and technical documentation for consultants, contractors, and clients.
• Relevant degree in Architecture or a closely related field.
• Experience with industry-standard BIM and Autocad Revit.
• Strong coordination skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary and international teams.
• Prior experience in hospitality, retail, or commercial projects is an advantage.
