About the job
EC Markets is expanding its presence across India and is looking for a driven, well-connected Business Development Manager to lead partner and client acquisition in the region. This is a high-impact, target-driven role covering the full acquisition cycle — from onboarding Introducing Brokers (IBs) and affiliates to growing our retail client base and driving deposit volumes across Forex and CFD products. Candidates with a background in Forex/CFD broking or the Indian share market ecosystem (e.g., Exness, XM, OctaFX, Groww, Zerodha, Upstox, Angel One, 5paisa) will find this role a strong fit.
Responsibilities
- Identify, recruit, and onboard high-value IBs, sub-brokers, and affiliates across India
- Build and manage a strong retail client pipeline, converting leads into active, funded trading accounts
- Drive deposit growth through tailored acquisition strategies for IB partners and direct retail clients
- Leverage existing relationships within the Indian Forex and share market ecosystem, including brokers, sub-brokers, and trading communities
- Represent EC Markets at industry events, expos, and networking forums (e.g., Money Expo, Traders Carnival)
- Collaborate with the marketing team on localized campaigns and partner incentive programs
- Track competitor activity across platforms such as Exness, XM, OctaFX, Groww, Zerodha, Upstox, and Angel One, and share market insights with leadership
- Report on key performance metrics — new IBs onboarded, active accounts, deposit volumes, and revenue generated
- Coordinate with compliance and onboarding teams to ensure a smooth, regulation-aligned partner experience
Qualifications
- 3–7 years of Business Development/Sales experience in Forex broking, CFD trading, share market broking, or Fintech
- Proven experience recruiting and managing IB, sub-broker, or affiliate networks in India
- Existing network of IBs, sub-brokers, money managers, or HNI retail traders preferred
- Working knowledge of the Indian share market ecosystem (BSE, NSE) and its intersection with global Forex/CFD trading
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field (MBA preferred); NISM/NCFM certification is a plus
- Excellent English communication skills; proficiency in Hindi or other regional languages is an advantage
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel within India as required
