Job Description: Test Automation (Java+Selenium+Rest Assured) – Test Lead

We are looking for a hands-on QA Automation Engineer who brings solid experience across both manual and automation testing, with particular strength in API testing. You will design, build, and maintain scalable UI and API automation using Selenium WebDriver with Java and Rest Assured, and work closely with developers, product owners, and fellow testers to deliver high-quality releases. We value engineers who think through problems logically, explain their reasoning clearly, and adapt their solutions as requirements evolve.          

  • Experience should have 5 to 8 years of experience in software quality assurance and test automation.
  • Selenium with Strong Java, REST API testing, CI/CD and SQL.
  • Analyze requirements and user stories to design comprehensive test scenarios, test cases, and test data covering functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end flows.
  • Perform manual testing where appropriate, including exploratory, smoke, sanity, and regression testing, and log clear, reproducible defects.
  • Design, develop, and maintain UI automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver with Java, following Page Object Model and clean coding practices.
  • Build and maintain API automation suites using Rest Assured, covering REST endpoints end to end.
  • Validate API responses thoroughly: status codes, headers, response body, JSON/XML schema, data types, business rules, error handling, and negative scenarios.
  • Perform database testing by writing SQL queries to verify that data created, updated, or deleted through the UI and APIs is stored correctly in the backend.
  • Validate data integrity, constraints, relationships, and business rules across tables, including checks for duplicates, nulls, and mismatches between API responses and database records.
  • Integrate database validations into the automation framework using JDBC, so UI and API tests can assert directly against the database.
  • Prepare, seed, and clean up test data in the database to keep test runs independent and repeatable.
  • Build parameterized, data-driven tests that handle dynamic inputs through configuration files, external test data, and environment-specific settings rather than hard-coded values.
  • Refactor and extend existing automation to accommodate changing requirements while keeping it maintainable and reusable.
  • Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines and support scheduled and on-demand executions.
  • Analyze test results, triage failures, and distinguish genuine defects from environment or script issues.
  • Contribute to test strategy, estimation, and continuous improvement of QA processes within an Agile Team.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, team player and extremely resourceful.
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope and timeline.
  • Very good written and oral communication skills.
