Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer with 5–7 years of expertise in test automation, functional validation, and software quality assurance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks while working closely with Product Owners, Developers, and DevOps teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality enterprise applications.
This role requires strong hands-on experience in UI and API automation, BDD frameworks, test design, and continuous integration practices. The ideal candidate should possess excellent analytical skills, a quality-first mindset, and the ability to contribute throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business and technical requirements to design comprehensive test strategies and automation solutions.
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web and API applications.
- Build scalable and reusable automation frameworks using Selenium and SpecFlow.
- Implement and maintain BDD-based automation using Gherkin feature files.
- Perform UI, API, functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Validate REST APIs using Postman, Swagger, and automated API testing frameworks.
- Identify, log, track, and verify software defects while collaborating closely with development teams for timely resolution.
- Monitor automated test execution in CI/CD pipelines and investigate failed executions.
- Continuously improve test automation coverage, framework stability, and execution efficiency.
- Perform regular maintenance and optimization of existing automation scripts.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, estimation, and Agile ceremonies.
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, execution reports, and quality metrics.
- Ensure adherence to QA processes, coding standards, and testing best practices.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the QA practice.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 5–7 years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance and Test Automation.
- Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and SpecFlow.
- Experience implementing BDD frameworks and Page Object Model (POM).
- Proficiency in UI and REST API testing.
- Strong understanding of software testing principles, SDLC, and STLC.
- Experience validating databases using SQL Server.
- Knowledge of automation best practices and framework design.
- Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional Agile teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Azure DevOps or Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
- Exposure to cloud-based testing environments.
- Knowledge of performance or security testing concepts.
- Experience testing enterprise-scale web applications.
- ISTQB or equivalent QA certification is a plus.
