About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Testing Engineer to lead quality assurance efforts across our software products. You'll design test strategies, build automation frameworks, and work closely with development teams to ensure we ship reliable, high-quality software. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong technical testing skills with the ability to mentor others and influence engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites (UI, API, integration, and regression)
• Define test strategies and test plans for new features and major releases
• Perform manual exploratory testing for complex or high-risk areas
• Identify, document, and track defects; work with developers to reproduce and resolve issues
• Set up and maintain CI/CD test pipelines in collaboration with DevOps
• Conduct performance, load, and security testing as needed
• Review requirements and design documents to identify testability gaps early
• Mentor junior QA engineers and promote testing best practices across teams
• Analyze test metrics and coverage to continuously improve quality processes
• Collaborate with product managers and developers throughout the SDLC.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of experience in software testing/QA, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity
• Strong experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium)
• Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar)
• Experience with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, etc.)
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and Agile/Scrum practices
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, etc.)
• Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools (Jira, TestRail, Zephyr)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, k6)
• Exposure to containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of database querying (SQL) for backend validation
• Experience testing mobile applications
• ISTQB or equivalent certification
• Prior experience mentoring or leading a QA team
