Automation Test Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automation Test Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts that ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications. The ideal candidate will work closely with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to identify test requirements, automate test cases, and support continuous integration and delivery processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API applications.
  • Build and maintain scalable test automation frameworks.
  • Analyze business and technical requirements to create comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
  • Identify, document, track, and retest software defects.
  • Collaborate with development teams to resolve issues and improve product quality.
  • Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Generate test execution reports and provide quality metrics to stakeholders.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in software testing and automation.
  • Strong experience with automation tools such as:
    • Selenium WebDriver
    • Playwright
    • Cypress
    • Appium
    • TestNG/JUnit
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
  • Experience with API testing tools like Postman, Rest Assured, or Karate.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with defect management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or Bugzilla.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Exposure to performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • ISTQB or equivalent testing certification.
  • Experience working in DevOps environments.
