We’re Hiring: Pre-Sales Manager / Lead – Engineering Services (ER&D)

Are you a dynamic Pre-Sales expert with a passion for driving high-value engineering solutions? ALTEN India is looking for an experienced Pre-Sales Professional to lead and manage our end-to-end bid and proposal process across the Automotive, Aerospace, and Industrial Manufacturing sectors.

Role Overview

• Location: India
• Experience: 6–12+ years (Engineering Services / ER&D required)
• Education: B.E. / B.Tech (MBA is a plus)

What You’ll Do

• End-to-End Bid Management: Take complete lifecycle ownership of RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and proactive solution proposals.
• Commercial Strategy & Pricing: Design competitive, profitable pricing models (T&M, Fixed Price, Managed Services, Value-based) and risk assessments.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with delivery leaders, domain experts, sales, and legal/finance teams to build win-themes and high-impact bid responses.
• Domain Alignment: Translate complex technical capabilities into tailored engineering solutions for top Automotive, Aerospace, and Industrial clients.
• Client Engagement: Lead solution defense sessions, client presentations, and deal negotiations alongside the sales team.
• Collateral Management: Build and maintain high-quality pre-sales repositories, including case studies, capability decks, and standard proposal templates.

What We’re Looking For

• 6–12+ years of core Pre-Sales, Bid Management, or Solutioning experience in an Engineering Services (ER&D) environment.
• Deep domain expertise in Automotive, Aerospace, or Industrial Equipment/Products.
• Demonstrated mastery in managing complex proposal lifecycles from requirement mapping to post-bid follow-ups.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen paired with excellent executive-level written and verbal communication skills.
