Role Description The Account Executive/Assistant Manager – Accounts is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. The role involves managing day-to-day accounting operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger postings. The individual will prepare and review financial statements, support budgeting and forecasting, and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include coordinating with internal teams and external auditors, monitoring cash flow, maintaining accurate records, and supporting management with financial reports and analysis. The role also requires assisting in process improvements, implementing internal controls, and supporting finance-related decisions across different business units of AMPA Groups.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in accounting principles, including bookkeeping, general ledger management, and financial statement preparation.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, along with solid MS Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Experience in accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliation, invoice processing, and cash flow management.
- Knowledge of taxation, statutory compliance, and regulatory filings relevant to corporate and real estate/retail sectors.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality of financial information.
- Bachelor’s degree/Master degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CA Finai any one group, CA Inter, CA(Inter)any one group, MBA (Finance) are an advantage.
- Relevant experience in corporate accounting, preferably in real estate, retail, hospitality, or related industries.
