Assistant Director – Placements & Industry Relations

Role Objective:
To lead placement strategy and build strong industry relationships for the PGPM and PGDM programs, ensuring quality employment opportunities, strong recruiter partnerships, and successful placement outcomes for students.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Placement Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute placement strategies for the PGPM and PGDM programs.
- Manage the end-to-end placement process, from recruiter outreach to offer closure.
- Build and expand a strong and diverse recruiter network across sectors and functions.
- Track placement progress, offers, compensation, and key placement metrics.
- Ensure smooth and timely execution of campus recruitment processes.
2. Industry & Corporate Relations
- Build and maintain relationships with HR leaders, recruiters, business heads, and industry professionals.
- Identify and onboard new recruiters and corporate partners.
- Strengthen existing relationships and drive repeat hiring from key recruiters.
- Develop long-term corporate partnerships for placements, internships, live projects, guest sessions, and other industry engagements.
- Represent SOIL at relevant industry forums and corporate networking platforms.
3. Recruiter Engagement
- Coordinate pre-placement talks, recruitment presentations, assessments, interviews, and other hiring processes.
- Understand evolving industry hiring requirements and identify relevant opportunities for students.
- Gather recruiter feedback and use insights to strengthen future placement strategies.
- Maintain an active pipeline of prospective recruiters throughout the year.
4. Team & Stakeholder Management
- Lead and manage the placement team to ensure effective execution and achievement of placement goals.
- Work closely with senior leadership, faculty, alumni, and other internal stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate placement MIS and provide regular reports and insights to leadership.
- Ensure a professional experience for both students and corporate partners throughout the placement process.

Requirements
- Master's degree in management, HR, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 8–12 years of relevant experience in placements, corporate relations, campus recruitment, talent acquisition, or business development.
- Prior experience in a reputed business school, higher education institution, or AICTE-approved institution preferred.
- Strong network with corporate recruiters and HR/Talent Acquisition professionals.
- Demonstrated experience in driving placements and developing corporate relationships.
