Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP Global Trade Services (SAP GTS) Module

Lead / Solution Architect to lead the design, implementation, enhancement, and

support of SAP GTS solutions for ABB’s global trade compliance landscape. The ideal

candidate should possess deep functional expertise in SAP GTS with strong solution

architecture capabilities and experience in S/4HANA integration.

The candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders, global process owners, and

cross-functional SAP teams to deliver scalable, compliant, and high-quality global trade

solutions.

Key Responsibilities

 Lead SAP GTS implementation, rollout, enhancement, and support projects.

 Design end-to-end Global Trade Compliance solutions aligned with business

requirements.

 Conduct requirement gathering workshops and prepare Functional

Specifications.

 Configure and support SAP GTS functionalities including:

o Compliance Management

o Customs Management

o Risk Management

o Sanctioned Party List (SPL) Screening

o Embargo Checks

o Legal Control

o Preference Processing

o Product Classification

o Export Management

 Lead solution design discussions with business stakeholders.

 Collaborate with SAP SD, MM, FI, Logistics, EWM, TM, and Basis teams for end-

to-end integration.

 Work with SAP S/4HANA and ECC integration using standard interfaces.

 Coordinate with ABAP developers for custom developments, enhancements,

reports, interfaces, forms, and workflows.

 Review Functional Specifications, Technical Specifications, and test scenarios.

 Drive SIT, UAT, Regression Testing, and Production deployment activities.

 Perform root cause analysis for production issues and provide sustainable

solutions.

 Ensure compliance with global trade regulations and corporate governance

policies.

 Prepare solution architecture documents and technical design documentation.

 Provide effort estimation, project planning, and delivery governance.

 Mentor junior consultants and provide technical leadership.

 Participate in client workshops, steering committee meetings, and executive

presentations.

 Support Hypercare and Production stabilization activities.

Required Skills

 Minimum 7+ years of hands-on SAP GTS consulting experience.

 Overall SAP experience of 10+ years preferred.

 Strong expertise in SAP GTS architecture and configuration.

 Experience in at least 2–3 End-to-End SAP GTS Implementations.

 Strong experience in AMS Support and Global Rollout projects.

 Expertise in:

o Compliance Management

o Customs Management

o SPL Screening

o Legal Control

o Product Classification

o Embargo Checks

o Export Control

 Experience integrating SAP GTS with:

o SAP S/4HANA

o SAP ECC

o SAP SD

o SAP MM

o SAP FI

 Strong understanding of IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs, APIs, ALE, and middleware

integration.

 Experience preparing Functional Specifications for ABAP developments.

 Strong debugging and issue analysis capabilities.

 Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

 Experience working in global delivery and multinational environments.

 Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and SAP Activate methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

 SAP GTS Certification (Preferred)

 SAP S/4HANA experience

 Experience with SAP BTP Integration Suite / SAP CPI

 Experience with SAP Fiori applications

 Knowledge of SAP EWM, TM, or Logistics Execution

 PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications are an added advantage

 Lead solution design and architecture for SAP GTS.

 Engage with business users to understand compliance and trade requirements.

 Deliver scalable, compliant, and high-quality SAP GTS solutions.

 Ensure timely project delivery with high customer satisfaction.

 Support pre-sales activities, estimations, and solution proposals when required.

 Provide governance for enhancements, incidents, and change requests.

 Ensure adherence to ABB development standards and quality processes.
