Role Description The In-country Representative is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, responsible for supporting Nexus Vantage’s partner universities and education solutions within the local market. This role involves representing international institutions to prospective students and families, providing information on programs and pathways, and coordinating outreach activities such as school visits, fairs, and information sessions. The In-country Representative will manage local partner and agent relationships, assist with student counseling and application support, and ensure accurate documentation and reporting to the regional and Singapore-based teams. Daily responsibilities include maintaining up-to-date knowledge of partner institutions, tracking performance metrics, monitoring compliance with company policies and local regulations, and providing regular market feedback and insights. The role requires close collaboration with cross-border teams to ensure consistent service delivery and alignment with business objectives.
Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in student recruitment, counseling, or education services, preferably with international or higher education institutions.
• Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, families, schools, and local agents.
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal); proficiency in relevant local languages is an advantage.
• Sound organizational and time management abilities, including experience with reporting, documentation, and use of basic office productivity tools.
• Knowledge of regional education markets and student mobility trends, particularly in India, and familiarity with Asia-Pacific higher education landscapes.
• Ability to work independently on-site, exercise good judgment, and maintain high standards of integrity, compliance, and service quality.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Education, Business, Marketing, or Social Sciences; equivalent experience in the education sector will be considered.
• Willingness to travel within the region for events, meetings, and outreach activities as required.
