Pentaspace Design Studio is a leading architectural and design firm headquartered in Mumbai, known for visionary commercial, residential, and master-planning developments that blend aesthetic excellence with functional precision. We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accounts Executive to strengthen our accounting operations, financial reporting, and statutory compliance functions.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Senior Accounts Executive will independently manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, and drive statutory compliance across GST, TDS, and other applicable regulations. The role also covers project budgeting and cost monitoring, accounts payable/receivable management, audit preparation and internal controls, MIS reporting, and supervision and training of junior accounting staff, along with close coordination with design, project, HR, and Management teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•      Maintain accurate and timely accounting entries, ledgers, and reconciliations.

•      Prepare monthly and annual financial statements in line with accounting standards.

•      Ensure timely and accurate statutory compliance, including GST, TDS, PT, and Income Tax filings.

•      Prepare project budgets in coordination with project teams and track cost variance.

•      Review and approve vendor payments and contractor bill processing.

•      Manage client billing, receivables follow-up, and reduce collection cycle time.

•      Manage month-end and year-end closing, including schedules, reconciliations, and reports.

•      Prepare monthly MIS reports and project financial-health analysis for leadership.

•      Support internal and statutory audit preparation, and close audit issues raised.

•      Implement and monitor internal control measures and SOPs across accounting processes.

•      Guide, allocate tasks to, and review the work of junior accountants.

•      Conduct training sessions for the accounts team on compliance and accounting software.

•      Identify and implement improvements in accounting processes.

•      Maintain proper documentation and records of vouchers, agreements, ledgers, and digital files.

•      Coordinate effectively with design, project, HR, Admin, and Management teams as required.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

•      Education: B.Com / M.Com; MBA (Finance) or CA-Inter is an added advantage.

•      Experience: 8-9 years in core accounting, with exposure to GST, TDS, project budgeting, and MIS reporting.

•      Prior experience supervising and training junior accounting staff preferred.

•      Experience in project-based industries (Architecture, Real Estate, Design, Construction) preferred.

•      Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to Mumbai.

MANDATORY SKILLS

•      Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, ledgers, and reconciliations.

•      Hands-on experience with GST and TDS compliance and return filing.

•      Ability to prepare and monitor project budgets and cost variance analysis.

•      Exposure to internal audits, statutory audits, and control/SOP implementation.

•      Proficiency in financial/ERP systems (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books, SAP).

•      Advanced MS Excel skills for MIS and financial analysis.

•      Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and process discipline.

•      Good communication and coordination skills across departments, including design/project teams.
