About Because

We're a Creative Technology company. Seven years old, about 100 people, based in Ahmedabad. We work with large conglomerates, legacy brands that need a turnaround, and founders building something new.

A fair warning before you read further: we don't hire people to only edit. Editing is the craft you come in with. The job is wider — you'll shape ideas, work with AI video and image tools, and have opinions about the film before it's shot. If that sounds like too much, this isn't the right place.

What you'll actually do

• Cut everything — reels, performance ads, brand films, testimonials, event recaps, founder videos.
• Work from a script, and push back on the script when the edit tells you it isn't working.
• Use AI video, image and voice tools as part of your regular kit — for generating shots, extending scenes, cleaning audio, versioning, dubbing.
• Motion graphics, titles, and subtitles in Gujarati, Hindi and English. Get the Gujarati typography right, not just legible.
• Sound. Music selection, mixing, and knowing when silence is the better call.
• Turn one shoot into fifteen assets across formats without it looking like fifteen crops of the same thing.
• Be on shoots sometimes. Knowing what you'll need in the edit makes you better on set.

What we're looking for

• 2–5 years editing professionally. Agency, production house, in-house brand team — all fine.
• Strong on Premiere Pro and After Effects, or DaVinci. Whichever you use, you should be fast in it.
• Already using AI tools in your workflow, or clearly curious enough to be using them within a month.
• A sense of pace. You know when a cut is two seconds too long.
• A portfolio. This is the main thing we'll judge you on — reel, drive link, YouTube, anything we can watch.

What won't work here

• If you only execute what's on the storyboard and stop there.
• If your reel is all templates and trending audio.
• If AI tools feel like a threat rather than a bigger toolkit.
