Role: Automation Test Engineer

Location: Mira Road/Goregaon East (work from office 5 days)

Domain: Insurance preferred


Specific Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks for insurance applications (Policy Admin, BI Illustration, Online Platform, Claims, Underwriting etc)
  • Create and execute automated test scripts using AI tools or automation tool like Selenium, UI Path, Watermelon etc
  • Perform API testing and automation using tools like Rest Assured/Postman
  • Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines (DevOps)
  • Ensure test coverage for regression, functional, and integration testing
  • Perform test data setup
  • Identify, log, and track defects using tools like JIRA / Azure DevOps
  • Continuously improve automation frameworks and testing processes

  • Business Analysts (Insurance)
  • Development Teams (Backend, Frontend, Integration)
  • DevOps / Release Management Teams
  • Product Owners
  • QA / Testing Teams


Interfaces – External

  • Third-party vendors (Insurance platforms, APIs, bureaus)
  • System integrators


KPIs Skill & Competencies

  • Automation coverage (%) across modules
  • Reduction in regression testing time
  • Script execution success rate
  • Test cycle time and release adherence
  • Quality metrics (defect density, severity index)
  • CI/CD pipeline stability


Qualification Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field
  • Certifications (preferred): ISTQB
  • Automation certifications (Selenium / Agile / DevOps)

Additional Requirement

  • Experience working in Insurance industry
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) is a plus
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to support releases and production validations when needed
