Technical Sales Engineer - Pressure Management Products

Sukan Engineering is hiring a Technical Sales Engineer to develop business for Emerson's Pressure Management (PRM) portfolio. We are looking for someone who already understands these product applications and can turn customer requirements into technically sound proposals and successful orders.

Prior experience with the relevant product categories is mandatory. Experience with equivalent products from any manufacturer is welcome; previous Emerson experience is not required.

PRODUCT FOCUS

• Pressure-reducing and back-pressure regulators for gas, air, steam and liquid applications; slam-shut valves and LPG equipment.

• Pressure safety and relief valves, including spring-loaded and pilot-operated designs.

• Tank protection: pressure/vacuum relief valves, emergency vents, tank blanketing and vapour recovery regulators, and flame arresters.

• Related steam products, including steam traps, blowdown valves and boiler accessories.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Develop new business and grow existing accounts with industrial end users, OEMs, EPC contractors and consultants.

• Visit customers, understand their applications and identify opportunities for new equipment, replacement products and spares.

• Review RFQs, datasheets and specifications; collect operating conditions and coordinate product selection and sizing with the manufacturer's application team.

• Prepare and follow up technical and commercial quotations, resolve clarifications, negotiate and convert enquiries into orders.

• Present product capabilities and application benefits clearly to engineering, maintenance and procurement teams.

• Maintain accurate opportunities, next actions and sales forecasts in CRM; coordinate order handover and customer follow-up with internal teams.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CAPABILITIES

• Demonstrated technical sales or application engineering experience with pressure regulators, pressure safety/relief valves and/or tank protection products. Strong practical experience in at least one core category is essential; exposure across several categories is an advantage.

• Ability to explain products personally handled, their operating principles, selection considerations and real customer applications. General industrial sales experience alone is insufficient without relevant product experience.

• Ability to interpret technical datasheets and discuss pressure, temperature, flow, service media, materials, connections and application requirements.

• Customer-facing communication, proposal preparation, commercial follow-up and negotiation skills, with evidence of your own contribution to sales or application outcomes.

• Availability to work on-site in Vadodara and travel for customer visits as required.

PREFERRED

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Instrumentation, Chemical or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent relevant practical experience.

• Exposure to process industries, oil and gas, chemicals, power, industrial gases, OEMs or EPC projects.

• Familiarity with applicable pressure-equipment standards and manufacturer sizing/selection tools.

• Experience with Emerson PRM products or comparable portfolios from other manufacturers.
