Full Stack Engineer, AI Agents & Automation (Remote)

At ApplyAZ, we’re building systems that handle the daily work behind student applications, appointments, documents, and follow-ups. Our infrastructure runs on AWS, our product layer uses Next.js, and we’re building AI agents that carry out operational tasks using browsers, APIs, and our internal knowledge.
We need one engineer who can own the entire stack.
From architecture and frontend design to backend services, cloud infrastructure, and AI agent deployment, you will design it, build it, and maintain it after launch.
What this role actually involves:
→ Building appointment-booking bots that monitor availability and complete bookings when limited slots open and fill quickly. Handling timing, session expiry, retries, and confirmed booking status is part of the job.
→ Building application-filling bots that navigate multi-step forms, enter verified information, upload documents, validate fields, and track submissions.
→ Developing AI agents that use our knowledge documents, browse websites, work across tools, and complete day-to-day operations with appropriate review and human handoffs.
→ Building polished Next.js interfaces while owning the APIs, database, and background services behind them.
→ Making practical AWS architecture decisions around reliability, security, failure recovery, and running costs.
→ Setting up CI/CD, monitoring, and alerting, then taking responsibility for agreed support and reliability requirements after launch.
You’re the right person if:
- You’ve already shipped and maintained applications covering appointment booking, form automation, and AI-powered operations. You can show what you built and explain your contribution.
- You understand what breaks in browser automation: changing layouts, dynamic fields, expired sessions, interrupted workflows, and duplicate submissions.
- You’ve built LLM agents and RAG pipelines used in production, and you know how to manage accuracy, context limits, latency, and cost.
- You have hands-on AWS experience and can independently deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain what you build.
- You use Cursor confidently and can review, debug, and explain the code it produces.
- You work comfortably with GitHub, pull requests, code reviews, and automated deployments.
- You can design a clear, usable interface without a dedicated designer.
- You ask the right questions, define a practical scope, and communicate decisions clearly.
