SAP Functional SME

Responsibilities

• Serve as the functional SME for SAP-related engagements, advising on data architecture,

integration, and migration strategies

• Lead functional design and configuration for SAP BDC (Business Data Cloud) and SAP

Datasphere implementations

• Support and guide SAP ECC to RISE with SAP migration initiatives, ensuring functional

continuity and data integrity

• Provide functional expertise on SAP for Databricks integrations, enabling seamless data flow

between SAP systems and modern data platforms

• Partner closely with technical/data engineering teams to translate SAP functional

requirements into scalable data solutions

• Own functional requirement gathering, gap analysis, and solution design across F&A and SCM

domain areas

• Collaborate with client business stakeholders to understand process pain points and

recommend SAP-aligned solutions

• Support end-to-end project lifecycle from requirement gathering and solutioning through

testing, deployment, and hypercare

• Contribute to pre-sales activities, including solution scoping, effort estimation, and proposal

support for SAP-related opportunities

• Stay current on SAP's evolving product roadmap (BDC, Datasphere, RISE) and proactively

advise clients on adoption strategies

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of overall experience in SAP functional consulting, with strong domain depth in Finance & Accounting (F&A) and/or Supply Chain Management (SCM)

• Hands-on functional experience with SAP BDC (Business Data Cloud) and SAP Datasphere

• Strong working knowledge of SAP ECC and experience supporting RISE with SAP migrations

• Functional exposure to SAP for Databricks integrations

• Ability to translate business/functional requirements into technical specifications for data engineering

teams

• Strong stakeholder management and client-facing consulting experience

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both business and technical audiences
