Core Responsibilities
  • Daily Operations & Task Allocation
    • Manage daily warehouse activities, including inbound receiving, put-away, order picking, packing, and outbound dispatch.
    • Assign daily shifts and tasks to warehouse operatives, forklift drivers, and material handlers based on workload capacity.
    • Act as the single point of contact on the floor for urgent operational or driver-coordination issues.
  • Inventory Control & Stock Accuracy
    • Conduct regular physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and reconciliation audits.
    • Track and resolve short/over shipments, pending transfer orders, and stock discrepancies.
    • Maintain clean, accurate data inside Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Warehouse Management Systems
  • Team Supervision & Development
    • Monitor staff attendance, performance, and daily output against operational targets.
    • Onboard, train, and mentor new warehouse or logistics team members.
    • Conduct performance feedback and support conflict resolution on the floor.
  • Safety, Compliance & Facility Upkeep
    • Enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and proper manual-handling procedures.
    • Oversee facility security, cleanliness, and proper storage of materials (including hazardous goods where applicable).
    • Perform routine equipment and machinery safety checks.
  • Reporting & Collaboration
    • Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as turnaround times (TAT), delivery accuracy, and damage rates.
    • Coordinate with transport partners, central warehouses, and internal customer service teams.
    • Report shift updates, productivity metrics, and escalations to the Warehouse Manager.
