About Position:


As a Senior Azure Data Engineer, you will be part of a high-performing data engineering team focused on building scalable, reliable, and secure data platforms that support healthcare innovation and business transformation. This role offers an opportunity to work with modern cloud technologies, distributed data processing frameworks, and real-time data streaming solutions to deliver impactful business outcomes.

What You'll Do:


  • Collaborate with product owners, system analysts, architects, and engineering teams to deliver data solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable data-intensive applications and data pipelines.
  • Build and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and processing frameworks using Databricks, Kafka, and Spark.
  • Develop and maintain batch and real-time data processing solutions.
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrations across enterprise platforms.
  • Work with relational and non-relational databases to support business-critical applications.
  • Develop cloud-native solutions using Azure or AWS services.
  • Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and deployment strategies.
  • Build and maintain software using automation tools, configuration management, and monitoring frameworks.
  • Support Data as a Service (DaaS) and Container as a Service (CaaS) initiatives.
  • Monitor application and platform health, troubleshoot issues, and drive operational excellence.
  • Utilize Airflow for workflow orchestration and data pipeline scheduling.
  • Participate in incident management processes and support tools such as ServiceNow.
  • Contribute to reliability engineering, deployment planning, test automation, and fault-tolerant architecture design.
  • Collaborate with quality engineering teams to ensure data platform reliability, scalability, and security.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.


Expertise You'll Bring:


  • 6 to 10 years of experience in Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or Cloud Data Platform development.
  • 6 to 7 years of experience working with Azure or AWS cloud platforms.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks and Kafka.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience with Apache Spark and distributed data processing frameworks.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience with Snowflake and modern cloud data warehouse solutions.
  • Strong understanding of real-time data streaming architectures and event-driven systems.
  • Experience developing and maintaining large-scale ETL and ELT pipelines.
  • Working knowledge of RESTful APIs and service-based architectures.
  • Experience working with both relational and non-relational databases.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-native application design and distributed systems.
  • Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow.
  • Knowledge of DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies and modern platform engineering practices.
  • Experience with monitoring, observability, and reliability engineering concepts.
  • Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and production support skills.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
