Video Editor

Location: Delhi NCR; for projects across India

This is a short-term contractual role for 6 months. Candidates should be comfortable with the contractual nature and duration of the engagement.

About the Team:

The Video Editor (2-3 yrs experience) is responsible for the final editing of all video and audio content. The Video Editor will work with the Manager to ensure that all videos are edited to the highest quality. This role requires a strong understanding of video editing software as well as the ability to follow complex directions.

What Would This Role Entail?

• Edit video content for post-production
• Create and edit graphics for videos when needed
• Ensure all videos adhere to company standards for quality and length
• Ensure that videos are uploaded to social media platforms in a timely manner
• Follow company standards when editing, including using voice over and music when necessary
• Work with the Communication Manager on scheduling productions and deadlines .

Necessary Qualifications/Skills:

• Minimum 2-3 years experience in video editing. Experience in a News Channel or in an Ad Agency preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Davinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro or other relevant video editing software
• Ability to follow complex instructions
• Basic understanding of politics and the nature of India’s democracy
• Proficient in Motion Graphics & Reels Editing, as well as familiar with special effects, animation, 3D and compositing
• Calm under pressure and comfortable with a fast-paced work environment
• Deadline-focused and goal-driven team player with a creative mindset and excellent problem solving skills
• Attention to detail and reasonable verbal communication skills
• Strong storytelling ability for political, corporate, and social content
