Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Fashion Designer role based in Mumbai. The Fashion Designer will be responsible for developing design concepts, creating sketches, and assisting in fabric and trim selection. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating fittings, refining garment constructions, collaborating with pattern makers and tailors, and overseeing embroidery and textile detailing to ensure design integrity. The role also involves preparing mood boards, staying updated on trends, supporting collection development timelines, and maintaining clear documentation of styles and specifications. The designer will work closely with the studio team to deliver cohesive, high-quality collections that reflect the brand’s aesthetic.

Qualifications

• Strong Fashion Design and Fashion skills, including concept development, sketching, and collection planning.
• Knowledge of Textiles and Embroidery, with the ability to select appropriate fabrics, embellishments, and surface treatments.
• Knowledge of textile printing and Photoshop
• Experience with garment Fitting, understanding of garment construction, and ability to translate designs into well-fitting final pieces.
• Proficiency in basic design tools (manual or digital), trend research, and creating mood boards or technical references.
• Diploma or degree in Fashion Design or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in a fashion studio.
• Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and ability to work collaboratively in an on-site studio environment.
• Good communication skills and willingness to interact with production teams and, when required, clients.
• Experience in Indian fashion, ethnic wear, or occasion wear design is an advantage.
