Article Assistant (Articleship)

Role Description The Article Assistant (Articleship) role is a full-time, on-site position based in Delhi, India. The role involves assisting in statutory and tax audits, preparing working papers, and supporting senior team members in audit planning and execution. Daily responsibilities include drafting and reviewing financial statements, supporting GST, income tax, and TDS compliances, and assisting in preparation and filing of tax returns and related documentation. The Article Assistant will conduct research on tax and regulatory matters, help with assessments and litigation support, and maintain accurate records and documentation for clients. The role also includes coordinating with clients for data collection, participating in internal reviews, and supporting the team in delivering timely and high-quality professional services.

Qualifications

• Candidates should be pursuing Chartered Accountancy (CA) and be eligible for Articleship as per ICAI guidelines.
• Strong foundation in accounting principles, auditing standards, and basic taxation concepts (direct and indirect taxes).
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and comfort with accounting and tax software; familiarity with GST and income tax e-filing portals is an advantage.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to prepare clear working papers, reports, and client correspondence.
• Analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills to handle complex financial and tax matters.
• Ability to work diligently in a team, manage time well, and handle multiple assignments with integrity and professionalism.
• Willingness to learn, stay updated with changes in tax, audit, and regulatory frameworks, and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
• Prior internship or exposure to audit, taxation, or compliance work will be considered an added advantage.
