Creative Lead

Pocket FM is one of the world's largest audio storytelling platforms, with millions of listeners across genres like romance, fantasy, thriller, and drama. We're expanding into new visual formats- including Pocket Toons and AI-generated micro-drama content, bringing our storytelling universe to life through comics, animated series, and short-form video.

About the Role

We're looking for a Team Lead to join our Scaling Team, owning creative strategy and end-to-end production of promos (long-form and short-form) for shows scaling across Meta, UAC, and other acquisition platforms. You'll manage a portfolio of shows, working closely with writers, editors, agencies, and internal stakeholders to build promos that are both creatively compelling and performance-driven.

This is a hands-on role for someone who understands storytelling, production workflows, audience behavior, and what it takes to deliver high-volume creatives at scale.

What You'll Own

• Creative direction and promo strategy for assigned shows, across short-form and long-form
• Promo concepts, hooks, narrative structures, scripts, and visual treatments
• End-to-end production: brief development, scripting, post-production, review, iteration, final delivery
• Scripts that translate a show's story, characters, and emotional conflicts into high-performing acquisition creatives
• Creative briefs, shot requirements, references, timelines, and quality bars
• Feedback loops: reviewing work at every production stage with precise, actionable notes
• Coordination with editors, sound, VFX, and external production agencies
• Diagnosing why a promo is or isn't working, and turning that into new creative direction
• Repeatable creative workflows and production systems as output scales
• Presenting creative recommendations and performance learnings to leadership

You'll Fit Well If You've Worked In:

Media, TV, OTT, digital content, advertising, or production, in roles like:

• In-house creative, promo, or post-production teams
• Post-production supervision or team management
• Creative development, promo strategy, audience positioning
• TV promo production or channel marketing
• Episode writing, story development, screenplay/dialogue writing
• Production coordination or on-set workflows
• Agency teams servicing TV networks
• Especially well suited: writing experience combined with on-set/production exposure
• Experience with digital media house backgrounds, particularly if you've touched multiple stages of production (writing, direction, editing, distribution)

Must-Haves

• 5+ years in media, TV, OTT, digital content, advertising, or production
• Experience leading creative or production teams
• Strong grasp of narrative structure, character arcs, emotional storytelling, genre conventions
• Track record writing/developing scripts, promos, trailers, branded content, or episodes
• Experience managing end-to-end post-production workflows
• Ability to turn broad creative ideas into clear briefs and executable plans
• Comfortable with AI-driven workflows
• Comfortable in fast-paced, iterative, performance-driven environments
• Strong editorial judgment and attention to detail
• Ability to balance creative ambition against timelines, budget, and platform constraints

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with TV serials, daily soaps, or high-volume episodic content
• Episode, screenplay, dialogue, or promo script writing
• On-set experience coordinating with directors, DOPs, editors
• Channel promos, show launches, trailers, or entertainment marketing
• Short-form vertical video and long-form performance creatives
• Familiarity with animation, VFX, AI-assisted production, motion design, sound design
• A portfolio showing promo writing, creative strategy, or production ownership
