Senior Sourcing Transformation Consultant

Role Description The "Senior Sourcing Transformation Consultant" will lead end-to-end sourcing transformation initiatives, focusing on optimizing procurement strategies, vendor relationships, and operating models for one of our Customers in Denmark. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing current sourcing processes, identifying improvement opportunities, designing transformation roadmaps, and driving implementation in collaboration with the cross-functional teams in Denmark. The role involves conducting data-driven analyses, preparing business cases, facilitating stakeholder workshops, and providing consulting guidance on best practices in sourcing and business transformation. The consultant will also mentor junior team members, support change management activities, and ensure alignment between sourcing strategies and broader organizational goals. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, requiring close collaboration with both local teams and international stakeholders.

Key responsibilities and competencies:

• Assess Sourcing maturity and develop a practical improvement roadmap
• Strengthen category management frameworks, governance, and processes
• Identify and implement high-value AI and automation opportunities within Sourcing
• Improve performance management through relevant KPIs and routines
• Develop scalable tools, templates, and business cases
• Build organizational capabilities through coaching, workshops, and knowledge transfer
• Track and document the value delivered by transformation initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor / Master degree in Engineering preferably in Mechanical OR Electrical & Electronics.
• Candidate should possess strong Digital Transformation and Business Transformation skills for designing and executing sourcing and process improvement initiatives.
• Should possess advanced Analytical Skills to interpret data, develop insights, and support evidence-based decision-making in sourcing strategies.
• Should possess solid Consulting experience, including client engagement, solution design, and delivery of transformation projects.
• Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills to interact effectively with global stakeholders, present recommendations, and facilitate workshops.
• Experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain transformation in a global service environment is highly beneficial.
• Proven ability to lead complex projects, manage multiple priorities, and work collaboratively in cross-cultural teams.
• Familiarity with digital tools, procurement platforms, and process automation technologies is an advantage.
