SAP EWM Consultant
Position Summary
Biocon is undergoing major application transformation phase. We would like to strengthen your internal IT team with cream of resources. We are seeking a skilled SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) Consultant to support the design, implementation, enhancement, and maintenance of SAP EWM solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong functional expertise in warehouse management processes, SAP EWM configuration, and integration with SAP S/4HANA and related modules. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, project teams, and technical consultants to deliver efficient, compliant, and scalable warehouse management solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to warehouse and logistics operations.
- Conduct business process workshops and recommend SAP EWM best-practice solutions.
- Configure and support SAP EWM processes including inbound, outbound, internal warehouse movements, posting changes, and physical inventory.
- Design and configure warehouse structures such as warehouse numbers, storage types, storage sections, activity areas, work centers, and warehouse process types.
- Integrate SAP EWM with SAP S/4HANA and related modules including MM, SD, PP, QM, and TM.
- Support RF framework, handling unit management, batch management, serialization, and traceability processes.
- Prepare functional specifications and collaborate with technical teams on enhancements, reports, interfaces, forms, workflows, and developments.
- Execute unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Support cutover planning, go-live activities, hypercare support, and post-implementation stabilization.
- Analyze and resolve production issues through effective troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Conduct end-user training, knowledge transfer sessions, and process documentation.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency and system performance.
- Ensure compliance with quality, validation, and regulatory requirements where applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
- 5–10 years of SAP experience with a minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on SAP EWM consulting experience.
- Good experience in Pharma industries is an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management and logistics business processes.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA Embedded EWM and/or Decentralized EWM.
- Hands-on experience in configuration, testing, documentation, and production support.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional business and technical teams.
