Cyber Security Engineer

Role Summary:

The Cyber Security Engineer will protect the organization's computer systems and networks from cyber threats by implementing and overseeing security protocols. Key responsibilities include identifying vulnerabilities, responding to cyber incidents, and updating security measures to prevent future threats.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, implement, and maintain security measures and controls to protect digital systems and sensitive data.

- Perform risk assessments and audits to identify potential vulnerabilities in hardware, software, and networks.

- Monitor security access and conduct regular system tests to identify irregularities and weaknesses.

- Respond promptly to security incidents and breaches, conducting thorough investigations to resolve issues.

- Develop and update the organization’s disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

- Educate and train staff on information security standards, best practices, and threat awareness.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- 2–4 years of general experience in cybersecurity.

- Proficiency with programming languages such as Python, C++, Java, or Ruby.

- Familiarity with information security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and cybersecurity laws.

- Experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM tools.

- Strong understanding of network and web-related protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP, IPSEC, HTTP, HTTPS).

- Ability to communicate complex security issues to non-technical stakeholders.

Submission Criteria (Strict Compliance Required):

Please note that only profiles meeting all of the following criteria will be reviewed.

Must Have:

- 3–5 years of hands-on SOAR engineering experience (not analyst/operator level).

- Experience building custom Python integrations against real APIs (not just configuring existing connectors).

- Experience building complete, end-to-end playbooks from scratch.

- SOAR platform administration experience (RBAC, health monitoring, upgrades). Cortex XSOAR is strongly preferred.

Mandator Skills:

- Hands-on Cortex XSOAR experience.

- Multi-platform SOAR exposure.

- A background in a security operations environment (SOC, detection, threat intel).
