Job Summary

We are looking for a QA Engineer with 3+ years of experience in manual testing and a strong understanding of networking fundamentals. The candidate will be responsible for testing network-based applications and features, validating L2/L3 functionality, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with Development, Product, and Network Engineering teams in an Agile environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test plans based on product requirements.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, sanity, and system testing.
  • Test network environments involving routers, switches, VLANs, L2 switching, and L3 routing.
  • Apply OSI and TCP/IP model knowledge to troubleshoot issues across network layers.
  • Validate VLAN segmentation, routing, switching, IPv4/IPv6, and dual-stack behavior.
  • Analyze network traffic and troubleshoot connectivity/functional issues.
  • Log, track, and manage defects using Jira, Zoho, or similar tools.
  • Clearly document defects with reproduction steps, logs, severity, and impact.
  • Collaborate with developers and product owners to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Maintain test documentation, execution reports, and traceability.


Required Skills

  • 2–5 years of QA/Manual Testing experience.
  • Strong knowledge of OSI & TCP/IP models.
  • Good understanding of IPv4, IPv6, subnetting, VLANs, L2 switching, and L3 routing.
  • Experience in functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
  • Hands-on experience with Jira/Zoho or equivalent defect tracking tools.
  • Good troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
