Product Master Data Specialist

Role Description The Product Master Data Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Kochi. Dutco Tennant LLC is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Product Master Data Specialist to join our team in Cochin. Dutco Tennant has over four decades of experience as a distribution partner for engineering and industrial solutions across construction, water, energy, infrastructure, and networking sectors in the Middle East and GCC.

🔹 About the Role

The Product Master Data Specialist will be responsible for product master data governance, SKU/item creation, product classification, and Bill of Materials (BOM) management within Microsoft Dynamics 365.

The role will ensure that quotations and sales orders use accurate and approved inventory SKUs while maintaining high standards of data quality and preventing duplicate or obsolete product records.

🔹 Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage the Product Master Data Governance process.
• Create and maintain item masters, product attributes, categories, dimensions, and units of measure in Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Review and approve new SKU requests while preventing duplicate item creation.
• Create and maintain Sales BOMs, Kit BOMs, and other BOM structures.
• Translate customer requirements into structured SKUs and BOMs.
• Establish and maintain product naming and classification standards.
• Maintain HS/Customs codes, Country of Origin, manufacturer references, and technical attributes.
• Work closely with Sales, Procurement, Warehouse, Engineering, Finance, and IT teams.
• Support SKU rationalization and archive obsolete items.
• Develop master data policies, workflows, and approval processes.
• Monitor data-quality KPIs and prepare dashboards.
• Train internal users on product master data processes and ensure compliance.

🔹 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• 5–8+ years of experience in product master data, ERP, industrial distribution, manufacturing, or supply chain.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) is preferred.
• Strong understanding of BOMs, inventory management, product structures, and ERP master data.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Power BI experience is desirable.
• Knowledge of industrial products such as PVF, HVAC, MEP, Water Treatment, or similar products is preferred.
