We are specifically looking for someone with hands-on experience doing accounting/bookkeeping for US entities. Please do not apply if your experience is primarily Indian accounting (Tally/GST/etc.) without significant US accounting experience.

Employment type: Full-time

Shift: 1:30 PM – 10:30 PM IST (Mon–Fri), giving daily overlap with US Pacific business hours

CTC: ₹7,00,000 – ₹10,00,000 per annum, commensurate with US accounting experience

About the Role

We're a small, founder-led group of related companies based in the USA. We're looking for an experienced accountant to take genuine ownership of the books across those entities — not just process transactions, but maintain a clean, defensible set of records that stands up to a CPA’s review and a tax filing.

You will be the finance function. There is no one above you doing the work — we need someone who catches problems before we do and tells us about them.

As entity count and transaction volume increase, so does the scope — including standardizing processes across companies and eventually building and overseeing a small team. We're hiring for the long term, not for a gap.

What You'll Own

• Full-cycle bookkeeping across multiple related entities — AP, AR, bank and credit-card reconciliations
• Intercompany transactions: recording transfers, maintaining due-to / due-from balances between entities, and keeping both sides reconciled and documented
• Bill pay execution through our approval workflow (you prepare and code; the founder approves and releases)
• Receivables tracking and follow-up on ageing
• Month-end close and financial statement preparation for each entity
• Flagging what looks wrong — mis-codings, missing documentation, balances that don't tie — rather than just closing the month
• Coordinating with our US CPA at close and at year-end
• Over time: writing SOPs, standardizing the chart of accounts across entities, and training junior support

What We're Looking For

Essential

• 3+ years doing bookkeeping or accounting for US-based clients or entities — this is the primary requirement
• Hands-on QuickBooks Online experience (not just Tally)
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and US small-business accounting practice
• Experience with multi-entity or group structures — you've maintained intercompany balances before and can explain how
• CA, CA Inter (semi-qualified), CMA, or B.Com/M.Com with equivalent practical experience — we care more about your US client experience than your credential
• Genuinely self-directed; comfortable owning the close calendar without being chased
• Clear written English — most of our communication is asynchronous

Nice to have

• Prior experience at a US-focused accounting KPO or outsourcing firm
• Bill.com, Ramp, Gusto, or similar workflow tools
• Payroll experience
• US: 1099 preparation, sales tax nexus, S-corp / partnership basics
• Familiarity with agency/marketing services, financial services, or real-estate holding entities
