New Product Development Engineer

# 𝐑𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong NPD Engineer to support new product design and development activities within an automotive parts manufacturing environment.

The role requires strong understanding of new product development methodology, understanding customer and industry specifications and work with product teams for new product development execution.

The ideal candidate should have prior experience in automotive manufacturing, or new product development processes in manufacturing

# 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬

- End to end development of Leaf Spring, Chassis Components and Fabricated parts

- Support New Product Development Activities including Design Validation, Prototyping, Testing and PPAP activities

- Use CAD and CAE tools for part development and drawings

- Define Tooling requirements and Production route / processes

- Co-ordinate and manage the projects with Customer teams

- Achieve new product introductions within time and budget commitments.

# 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 & 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝

- Strong understanding of New Product Development and Quality processes.

- Experience with using CAD and CAE software tools

- Tooling development and process routing/development

- Know how of tooling of fabricated components and press parts

- Knowledge of FEA and MBD simulations preferred

# 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

- M.E. or B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering with strong academic track record

# 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞

- 3-5 years of experience in NPD, Process Engineering or Quality Engineering within automotive/manufacturing industry

- Experience in design / development of leaf springs or steel fabricated parts
