Content Editor - PQ Aggregation

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Content Editor to join the PQ Aggregation team at Clarivate, Chennai. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the discoverability, accessibility, and quality of content within the ProQuest database. You will work as part of a global content operations team responsible for ensuring that customers can efficiently find and access relevant information through accurate indexing, metadata enrichment, and content analysis.

About You

• Should have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• Must have 3 to 5 years of experience in content operations, indexing, publishing, editorial, or related fields.
• Should have excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Must have proved experience in strong interpretation, comprehension, and analytical skills.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

It Would Be Great If You Also Have

• Advanced Excel knowledge and experience working with large datasets.
• Experience utilizing AI-driven tools, automation solutions, and emerging technologies to improve content analysis, indexing accuracy, metadata enrichment, and overall workflow effectiveness.

What Will You Be Doing in This Role?

• Review and analyze content from newspapers, magazines, journals, reports, and other information sources to identify key topics, concepts, organizations, people, locations, and events.
• Apply controlled vocabulary and editorial guidelines to assign accurate subject terms, classification codes, and indexing entries that enhance content discoverability.
• Create and maintain metadata, abstracts, and other editorial enrichments to improve search, retrieval, and user experience across information products.
• Perform content analysis and indexing while ensuring consistency, completeness, and adherence to established quality standards.
• Validate and review indexed content, identify discrepancies, and take corrective actions to maintain high editorial accuracy.
• Maintain accurate production records and perform administrative tasks related to content tracking and workflow management.

About the Team

The PQ Aggregation team is responsible for enhancing the discoverability, accessibility, and quality of content within the ProQuest database. Team members research, analyze, index, and enrich content to ensure it is accurately represented and easily retrievable by customers worldwide. The team collaborates closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to maintain high editorial standards and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Hours of Work (Full time)

Monday to Friday, 9.00 AM to 6.00 PM in IST (Including one hour break)
