ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an enthusiastic Intern to support our research team's work on the economic implications of Artificial Intelligence in India. We offer an opportunity for students or recent graduates to gain hands on exposure to applied economic and AI research, working alongside researchers on live projects, and encouraging the intern to pursue their own individual research project.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with literature reviews, background research, and event planning on AI and economic policy topics
• Pursue short individual research project in the field and conduct basic data analysis and visualisation under the guidance of senior team members
• Support the collection, cleaning and organisation of datasets from public and proprietary sources
• Support day to day coordination and administrative tasks for ongoing projects as required
• Actively assist in organising roundtables and panel discussions in any manner

REQUIREMENTS

• Currently pursuing, or recently completed, an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Economics, Public Policy, Computer Science, Statistics or a related discipline. Must be able to link AI and Economics
• Basic understanding of economic concepts and a genuine interest in AI and technology policy
• Familiarity with Excel, exposure to R, Python or Stata is a plus but not essential
• Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
