Data Engineering Intern-2

TVH is seeking a Data Engineer Intern to join our global team. The team specializes in building and maintaining data pipelines, data Integration and Data Platform consolidating and provisioning data from various sources across our different markets and industries, access management and creation of unified schemas and modular architecture.

As a Data Engineer Intern, you will work alongside experienced engineers to learn and contribute to data modelling , data ingestion and data platform  projects. You will support designing and implementing scalable solutions that fit the needs of our stakeholders and tools. This data is key for our internal teams to have efficient and effective support towards our customers and also to 

Your role and responsibilities

Translating requirements into technical implementation: Assist senior team members in gathering requirements and identifying data points from structured and unstructured sources to help design fit-for-use data products.

Data Transformation & Delivery Support: Support the end-to-end data delivery process for data extraction and transformation under mentor guidance.

Data Pipeline Engineering: Learn and assist in building data integration and data transformation pipelines using technologies like GCP, BigQuery, and Kafka, Boomi  under the supervision of senior engineers.

Data Platform: Learn and assist in building Data Platform and AI Platforms  in Cloud environments 

Data Integration: Learn the fundamentals of REST APIs, HTTP methods, JSON and XML data formats, authentication, and API-based communication. Assist in developing and testing integrations that enable reliable data exchange between applications and services.

How to succeed/Your profile:

Must have

• Currently pursuing  degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field
• Foundational Technical Skills:
  • Solid foundation in Python and SQL-
  • Basic understanding of relational databases and data modeling concept 
  • Basic knowledge of Data ingestion 
• Basic knowledge on Cloud and Data Ingestion  and Data Transformation
• Basic understanding of application integration concepts and data exchange between systems.
• Foundational knowledge of APIs, particularly REST APIs, and data formats such as JSON and XML.
• Basic understanding of data engineering concepts, data transformation, and pipelines.
• Strong analytical mind and you get energized by resolving complex data problems
• A good eye for detail and a commitment to deliver high data quality and accuracy
• Fluent communication (speaking and writing) in English..

Nice to have

• Exposure to Cloud Platforms , Git , Data Ingestion , Transformation 
• Familiarity with Git or version control systems
• Knowledge about DevOps methodologies
• Basic knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman.
• Exposure to integration patterns, API gateways, authentication mechanisms, and application connectivity.
• Affinity with equipment parts and service industry 
• Familiar with project development methodologies such as Scrum (Agile).

Educational Background & Qualifications

Required Education:

• Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
• Specialized Coursework: Strong academic foundation in Data Engineering, Distributed Systems, Database Management Systems (DBMS), Algorithm Design, and Real-time Computing.
