Job Summary:
We are seeking a Business Analyst to gather and document business requirements from customers, banks, fintech partners, and internal stakeholders across African markets. The role involves preparing BRDs, FRDs, process flows, and translating business needs into functional specifications. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, conduct gap analysis, and support fintech and digital payment initiatives. Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills, along with knowledge of payment technologies and API integrations, are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from customers, banks, fintech's based out of Tanzania (and subsequent other African market/geographies), including internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), use cases, workflows, and process maps.
  • Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications for technology and product teams.
  • Act as a bridge between business, product, technology, operations, and partner teams.
  • Conduct gap analysis and recommend solutions to address business and operational challenges.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • MBA or relevant professional certifications will be an added advantage.
Skills and Experience:
  • Strong business analysis and documentation skills.
  • Expertise in preparing BRDs, FRDs, process flows, and user stories.
  • Understanding of fintech and payment technologies.
  • Knowledge of API-based integrations and digital payment architecture.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong presentation and workshop facilitation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, JIRA, Confluence, or similar tools.
  • Passionate about fintech innovation and financial inclusion in Africa.
  • Strong understanding of Africa's digital payments and mobile money landscape.
  • Ability to work with geographically distributed teams across India and Africa.
  • Commercially aware with the ability to convert business requirements into scalable product solutions.
  • Self-driven, detail-oriented, and capable of managing cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel to Tanzania and other African markets as required.
