Neary is a people-first app for real-world connection: no follower counts, no curated highlight reels, no algorithm deciding who deserves your attention. Just proximity, honesty, and the slightly radical idea that your neighbourhood might already be full of your people.

We're hiring an intern to help build the part everyone actually touches.

👀 What you'll actually do

• Turn Figma files into interfaces that feel alive, not just "matches the mock"
• Make it run beautifully on a ₹8,000 Android on 3G, not just your laptop
• Wire the frontend up to real APIs and watch real humans use what you built
• Chase down that one CSS bug that only shows up on Safari (sorry in advance)
• Care about accessibility, because "everyone" should mean everyone
• Push back on us. Ask "wait, why are we doing it this way?" We like that.

🛠️ What we hope you bring

• Solid JavaScript, HTML and CSS, plus a modern framework you've genuinely built something with (React, Next.js, Vue — your call)
• Responsive design instincts: you notice when something breaks at 375px
• Comfort with Git and working alongside other humans in a codebase
• Enough understanding of what happens behind the API to talk to backend folks without needing a translator
• Clean, readable code — the kind future-you won't curse at
• A portfolio, GitHub, side project, or one weirdly beautiful CodePen. Show us you make things.

No degree gatekeeping. CS degree, bootcamp, or self-taught at 2 AM off YouTube — we only care what you can build.

• Role type: Paid internship — stipend discussed during the interview process
• Duration: 8 weeks, extendable for the right person
• Location: Remote, India-based. Optional monthly team meetup — snacks non-negotiable
