Function: Operations, reports through the COO organisation with strong LSEG Business Division interlock (particularly ‘Data & Analytics’ and ‘Benchmarks & Indices’ divisions )
Leadership scope: Senior leadership responsibility for a large global organisation spanning directors, senior managers, managers and substantial cross-functional delivery teams.
About the role
This is a senior leadership opportunity to lead a globally significant Operations organisation serving a number of LSEG businesses (primarily the Data & Analytics Division). The team underpins core LSEG data products by providing authoritative entity reference and instrument reference data and pricing used across a wide range of customer workflows and connected content sets.
The role has responsibility for a global team of more than 900 colleagues and combines operational leadership, strategic execution, customer focus and transformation.
Key responsibilities
- Lead a large global operations organisation, setting direction and ensuring consistent execution across multiple teams and regions.
- Deliver high-quality data and services to clients in line with service expectations, commercial commitments and market-driven performance measures.
- Own and execute the strategic roadmap for the function, including content expansion, service enhancement, innovation and operational scalability.
- Drive transformation through process optimisation, automation and the effective use of AI and other technologies.
- Manage budgets and costs responsibly while delivering against financial and performance targets.
- Build a high-performing, engaged organisation through strong leadership across hiring, capability development, communication, recognition, performance and wellbeing.
- Partner closely with product, strategy, commercial and technology stakeholders to shape future capabilities and support customer outcomes.
- Represent the function in senior stakeholder forums and contribute to broader operational and strategic leadership priorities.

Candidate profile
We are looking for a senior operations leader with deep experience in financial data, content operations or adjacent information services environments and a track record of delivering technology led transformations. You will bring strong commercial judgement, experience of leading large global teams, and the ability to combine operational rigour with strategic thinking and transformation leadership.
- Extensive leadership experience in large-scale operations, data, content or information services environments.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, reference data, entity data or related content domains.
- Proven success in leading large, globally distributed teams through change, growth and transformation.
- Experience managing budgets, performance targets and complex stakeholder environments.
- Track record of improving operational performance through process excellence, automation and technology-enabled change.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders across operations, product, commercial and technology functions.
- Strong people leadership skills, with evidence of building capability, developing talent and creating engaged, high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication, collaboration and organisational leadership skills.
