Job Description – Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer at Innefu Labs, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and data infrastructure that support advanced analytics, AI-driven applications, and cybersecurity platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including data scientists, software developers, and product teams to enable reliable and efficient data processing solutions.

You will be involved in all aspects of the data engineering lifecycle, from data acquisition and transformation to deployment and optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust data pipelines and ETL workflows.
• Build and optimize large-scale data processing systems for structured and unstructured data.
• Work extensively with Elasticsearch and data indexing solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and implement scalable solutions.
• Develop and maintain data integration frameworks and automation processes.
• Ensure high data quality, integrity, and reliability across systems.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines for performance and scalability.
• Implement best practices for data engineering, coding standards, testing, and deployment.
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance when required.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends in data engineering, big data, and analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related roles.
• Strong programming experience in Python with a focus on Core Python.
• Hands-on experience with ETL frameworks and data pipeline development.
• Strong experience with Elasticsearch and large-scale data handling.
• Knowledge of databases, data warehousing concepts, and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with frameworks such as Django or Flask is a plus.
• Understanding of software development best practices, design patterns, and code quality standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with big data technologies and cloud platforms.
• Understanding of AI/ML data workflows.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity or analytics platforms is an added advantage.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools is a plus.
