Assembly Operator

Responsibilities

• Assemble CNC machine tools and mechanical components according to engineering drawings, assembly procedures, and work instructions.
• Perform mechanical assembly of machine structures, guideways, ball screws, spindles, tool changers, worktables, covers, and other machine components.
• Install and connect hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, and cooling systems.
• Perform component alignment, leveling, adjustment, and precision fitting to ensure machine accuracy and performance.
• Use precision measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and levels for inspection and adjustment.
• Conduct machine setup, initial testing, and basic troubleshooting after assembly.
• Assist with machine calibration, accuracy inspection, and first-piece trial runs.
• Identify assembly defects or abnormal conditions and coordinate with engineering and quality teams for corrective actions.
• Maintain proper records of assembly, inspection, and testing activities.
• Follow production schedules, quality standards, and workplace safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe assembly area.

Requirements

• Technical certificate, diploma, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• 0–5 years of experience in mechanical assembly, machine building, CNC machinery, or similar manufacturing environments.
• Fresh graduates with relevant technical training or hands-on experience may also be considered.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and assembly drawings.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical components, tolerances, fits, bearings, gears, and transmission systems.
• Basic understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems is an advantage.
• Good mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
