Role: SAP Basis Lead / Senior SAP Basis Consultant

Remote opportunity


We are looking for an experienced SAP Basis Lead Consultant to manage and coordinate SAP Basis operations across an SAP RISE landscape from the customer/client side.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day SAP Basis operations and act as the primary technical coordinator for SAP RISE-related activities.
  • Coordinate with SAP Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS), SAP Product Support, application, integration, infrastructure, security, and business teams.
  • Manage SAP incidents, service requests and changes through SAP for Me / SAP Support Portal and ensure timely escalation and closure.
  • Coordinate maintenance, patching, upgrades, kernel updates, database activities, certificate renewals, and infrastructure changes.
  • Perform proactive monitoring of SAP S/4HANA, SAP HANA, application servers, jobs, interfaces, dumps, logs, work processes, RFCs, spool, and system performance.
  • Monitor HANA health, alerts, backups, capacity and performance; review EarlyWatch Alert reports and drive corrective actions.
  • Support SSL/TLS, PSE, STRUST, SSO, SNC, OAuth, SAML, certificates, and secure connectivity.
  • Coordinate network/connectivity requirements including firewall, DNS, proxy, IP allowlisting, ports, and routing.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot SAP Ariba integrations and hybrid connectivity between SAP RISE, SAP BTP, cloud applications and external systems.
  • Support SAP transport/change management and ITIL-based incident, problem, change and service management.
  • Lead technical troubleshooting, root-cause analysis and coordination across multiple support teams.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

  • 9+ years of overall SAP Basis experience, with experience as a SAP Basis Lead / Senior SAP Basis Consultant.
  • Hands-on SAP RISE experience from the customer/client side is mandatory.
  • Strong SAP S/4HANA Basis administration and SAP HANA operations experience.
  • Experience coordinating with SAP ECS / SAP RISE Operations teams.
  • Strong expertise in monitoring, performance analysis, troubleshooting and incident management.
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • SAP S/4HANA & SAP HANA
  • SAP BTP Cockpit & SAP Cloud Connector
  • SAP Cloud ALM
  • SAP for Me & SAP Support Portal
  • SAP Web Dispatcher & SAProuter
  • RFC, HTTP/HTTPS, IDoc, Web Services & API connectivity
  • SSL certificates, PSE, STRUST & secure communication
  • SAP Transport & Change Management
  • Experience with SAP Ariba integrations.
  • Strong understanding of hybrid SAP RISE/BTP/cloud connectivity.
  • Good knowledge of ITIL-based service management.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder coordination and technical documentation skills.
