Job Role: The Financial Planning and Data Analysis Specialist will be responsible for preparing, analyzing, and maintaining management information reports and product costing data for IOL Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals Limited. The role will support business decision-making through accurate cost analysis, budget monitoring, variance reporting, inventory valuation support, and timely MIS reporting to leadership.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare periodic MIS reports related to production, sales, inventory, consumption, costing, profitability, and key business performance indicators.
- Prepare and analyze product costing, process costing, batch costing, and cost sheets for pharmaceutical and chemical products.
- Monitor actual costs against standard costs, budgets, and forecasts, and prepare detailed variance analysis with explanations.
- Support monthly closing activities by coordinating with Finance, Production, Stores, Purchase, and other departments for accurate cost and operational data.
- Assist in inventory valuation, material consumption analysis, yield analysis, process loss tracking, and reconciliation of production and inventory records.
- Prepare profitability analysis by product, customer, business segment, and plant as required by management.
- Coordinate for preparation of annual budgets, cost estimates, forecasts, and cost control reports.
- Assist in cost audit activities by preparing required costing records, schedules, reconciliations, and supporting data for internal and statutory cost audit requirements.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely submission of MIS and costing reports, and perform other related activities assigned from time to time.
Qualifications:
- MBA Finance / CMA.
- Working knowledge of cost accounting, inventory accounting, budgeting, variance analysis, and MIS reporting.
- Exposure to manufacturing, pharmaceutical, chemical, or process industry costing will be preferred.
- Proficiency in advanced MS Excel and working knowledge of SAP systems is desirable.
Experience: 8-10 years of relevant experience in MIS, costing, cost accounting, plant finance, or manufacturing finance, preferably in pharmaceutical, chemical, API, or process manufacturing industry.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong analytical ability with attention to detail and accuracy in reporting.
- Good knowledge of costing principles, MIS preparation, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially advanced Excel; knowledge of SAP and data analysis tools will be an added advantage.
