Senior Big Data Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Big Data Engineer with extensive experience in designing and implementing enterprise-scale Big Data platforms and cloud-native data solutions. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership while driving innovation and best practices across engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and engineering direction to development teams.
  • Design and develop scalable Big Data applications and data platforms.
  • Lead architecture discussions and technology decisions.
  • Build and optimize ETL pipelines and large-scale data processing systems.
  • Develop solutions using Scala, Spark, Hive, and GCP technologies.
  • Mentor engineering teams and drive development best practices.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and product teams.
  • Design and develop enterprise reporting and analytics solutions using Power BI.

Required Skills:

  • 8+ years of software development experience.
  • Strong expertise in GCP, BigQuery, and Cloud Storage.
  • Hands-on experience with Scala, Spark, Hive, and Data Lakes.
  • Extensive ETL and Data Warehousing experience.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools, Git, Maven, and Jenkins.
  • Experience in architecture design and system modeling.
  • Advanced SQL and database expertise.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Power BI, DAX, and Data Modeling.
  • Experience leading large-scale enterprise data initiatives.
  • Strong communication and mentoring abilities.
