Responsibilities

• Over 8+ years of expertise in engineering for 5G and 4G core nodes (AMF, SMF, UPF, CUPS, MME, DNS, NRF).
• Manage AMF interfaces including N1, N2, N8, N11, N14, N15, N26, and others as per 3GPP specifications.
• Ensure compliance with 3GPP standards and maintain performance enhancements for AMF.
• In-depth knowledge of 5G core network architecture, especially AMF and SMF functions.
• Experience with 3GPP TS 23.501 and related 3GPP specifications for 5G core network functions.
• Interface with other network functions such as SMF, PCF, NRF, UDM, and AUSF via service-based interfaces.
• Manage and optimize the Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF) within the 5G core network.
• Proficiency in managing service-based interfaces (SBI) and protocols such as HTTP/2 and NGAP.
• Demonstrated proficiency in on-premises infrastructure implementation and operations, particularly within telecom and 5G network environments.
• Extensive experience architecting, troubleshooting, and managing microservices-based cloud-native applications in complex environments.
• Handle connectivity and mobility management requests from User Equipment (UE) and gNB.
• Support event subscription handling, including UE location reporting to SMF.
• Implement PWS-IWF functionality for processing SBc interface messages and streamline network architecture.
• Familiarity with session management, mobility management, and policy control in 5G networks.
• Understanding of IP address management, DHCP, ARP proxying, and traffic steering.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures and automation in network functions.
• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize network function performance and reliability.
• Knowledge of lawful intercept requirements and charging data synchronization.
• Experience with roaming scenarios and interworking between home and visited SMFs.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
