Structural Draftsman

Role Description The Structural Draftsman will prepare detailed structural drawings in coordination with architects and engineers. Responsibilities include converting design concepts into accurate technical drawings, developing shop drawings, and updating drawings based on review comments and site conditions. The role involves working with Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools, maintaining drawing standards, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and project specifications. The Structural Drafter will collaborate with project teams, participate in design reviews, and support documentation for construction and approvals. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad.

Qualifications

• Ability to produce precise shop drawings and technical drawings for structural and architectural projects.
• Proficiency in creating and interpreting architectural drawings and coordinating them with structural requirements.
• Knowledge of structural engineering fundamentals to translate design inputs into safe and constructible details.
• Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools and related software for integrated project documentation.
• Strong skills in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit or similar) and familiarity with relevant codes and standards.
• Diploma or degree in civil engineering, architecture, or a related field, with prior drafting experience in building projects.
• Attention to detail, good spatial understanding, and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Effective communication skills and ability to manage multiple drawing packages and deadlines.
