SAP MDG Techno Functional Consultant

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP MDG Techno Functional Consultant with strong

expertise in SAP MDG configuration, ABAP development, master data governance, and

Business Partner processes. The candidate should have hands-on experience in SAP ECC and S/

4HANA environments, with strong exposure to MDG data models, workflows, validations,

replication framework, and Business Partner master data.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, implement, and support SAP MDG solutions across domains such

as MDG-BP, MDG-C, MDG-S, MDG-M, and Finance master data.

• Work extensively on SAP Business Partner master data, including customer/vendor

integration, BP roles, BP grouping, number ranges, and CVI-related configurations.

• Develop and maintain custom ABAP programs in SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments.

VAYUZ Technologies

• Customize MDG data models, workflows, UI configurations, validations, derivations, and

change request processes.

• Configure and support BRF+ rules, validation frameworks, and workflow enhancements.

• Work on MDG extensions and customizations, including custom entities, attributes, data

models, and UI changes.

• Support integrations between MDG and downstream systems using Data Replication

Framework, DRFOUT, IDocs, ALE, and Key Mapping concepts.

• Work with Smart Forms, Adobe Forms, Web Dynpro, Reports, Module Pool

Programming, BDCs, LSMW, IDOCs, BADIs, User Exits, and Enhancements.

• Collaborate with functional consultants, business users, and technical teams to gather

requirements and deliver effective solutions.

• Utilize CDS Views, OData Services, and support integration with SAP Fiori Apps where

applicable.

• Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, debugging, and issue resolution.

• Ensure adherence to SAP best practices, development standards, and governance

processes.

• Work within Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD frameworks where applicable.

• Provide post-go-live support and troubleshoot SAP MDG and ABAP-related issues.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 8+ years of overall SAP experience.

• Minimum 5+ years of ABAP development experience.

• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on SAP MDG technical/functional experience.

• Strong experience in SAP MDG Business Partner, including customer, vendor, and BP

master data processes.

• Good understanding of Business Partner model in S/4HANA, including CVI, BP roles,

relationships, grouping, and master data governance.

• Expertise in MDG configuration, custom data models, workflow, validations, derivations,

and data replication.

• Strong knowledge of BRF+, DRF, DRFOUT, Key Mapping, Value Mapping, IDocs, ALE, and

replication models.

• Strong ABAP experience, including OOABAP, BADIs, User Exits, Enhancements, Reports,

Interfaces, Forms, and Data Dictionary.

• Good understanding of S/4HANA data models and SAP NetWeaver architecture.

• Ability to debug, troubleshoot, and resolve both ABAP and MDG-related issues.

• Strong understanding of master data processes for Business Partner, Customer, Vendor,

Material, and Finance objects.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional team.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Exposure to ABAP on Cloud and RAP programming.

• Experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 and OData services.

• Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery methodology.

• Knowledge of data migration, data quality, and master data cleansing activities.

• Experience in full-cycle SAP MDG implementation projects.
