Commercial Operations Manager

About the Role

We are seeking Pharma Services Contracts and Operations Professionals to be a part of our growing team. The opportunity is for both an individual contributor and an operational line management role focused on commercial process excellence, systems ownership, and team development. Not a sales or delivery position.

The successful candidate will participate in contract preparation/execution, CRM data quality, e-signature workflows, and continuous process improvement across our operations.

About the Role

We are seeking a Commercial Operations Manager to join our growing team. This is an operational leadership role focused on commercial process excellence, systems ownership, and team development.

This is not a sales or delivery position.

The role combines people management, contract governance, and system ownership, ensuring high standards of execution across a global organization.

Key Responsibilities

1. People & Team Management (Owner)

• Line manage COE staff responsible for Salesforce data validation and contract execution
• Build a high-performance, process-driven team culture
• Ensure consistent execution standards across business lines
• Plan team capacity aligned with business growth
• Support onboarding and development of team members

2. Contract Execution & Governance (Owner)

• Own end-to-end contract execution for audits and consulting engagements
• Ensure contracts are compliant, accurate, and aligned with scope and pricing
• Oversee contract review, approvals, and escalation handling
• Maintain consistent global contracting standards

3. Salesforce Data Validation & Enforcement (Owner)

• Ensure data quality and order-readiness in Salesforce
• Validate scope, pricing, service type, and contractual alignment
• Enforce completeness and reject non-compliant submissions
• Maintain Salesforce as the single source of truth

4. DocuSign Ownership & System Integration (Owner)

• Act as business owner of DocuSign
• Manage workflows and system integration with Salesforce
• Ensure traceability and auditability of executed agreements

5. Process Improvement & Change Implementation (Co-Owner)

• Identify inefficiencies and propose improvements
• Lead implementation of approved changes
• Support adoption, training, and coordination across teams

6. Interface & Governance

• Act as key interface with Sales Operations and delivery teams
• Ensure smooth handovers and alignment across functions
• Escalate structural issues when needed

Profile

Education and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred

Experience

• Experience in contract management within pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or regulated environments
• Strong understanding of pharma contracting and contract review (redlining)
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce CRM
• Experience with DocuSign or similar tools
• Experience managing operational or shared-service teams
• Exposure to GxP environments is a strong advantage
