Job Description

Senior Designer

Location: Bangalore    Experience: 7+ years    Function: Creative / Design

Senior Designer

Creative concepts, visual storytelling & design direction

We’re looking for a Senior Designer who can turn a business challenge or a brief into a clear and engaging visual idea. Working with Global insurance broker teams across different markets, you’ll shape how messages are communicated through presentations, reports, brochures and marketing materials. You’ll bring ideas, challenge content when needed and make confident design decisions, while keeping the work true to Global insurance broker’s brand.

This role is for someone who enjoys working out the best way to tell a story, not just making supplied content look polished. You’ll work closely with the Lead Designer and stakeholders, taking responsibility for the creative approach and developing it through feedback to final delivery.

THE MAIN FOCUS: Creative thinking, design judgement and ownership. PowerPoint and other formats are the tools you’ll use to bring the idea to life.

What you’ll do

  • Shape the response to a brief: understand the audience and objective, identify the main message, and recommend a visual direction that supports it.

  • Develop concepts and explore different ways to communicate an idea, then turn the strongest approach into a coherent design across the required materials.

  • Lead the design of presentations by shaping the narrative, deciding what deserves emphasis and using layout, imagery, typography and visual devices to make the story clear.

  • Create visual approaches for reports, brochures and marketing communications, building a consistent look and feel that works across multiple pages, formats and channels.

  • Make complex business information easier to understand by deciding how it should be structured and visualised, rather than only formatting supplied charts or content.

  • Present and explain design recommendations to the Lead Designer and, where required, clients or senior stakeholders. Use feedback to strengthen the work and guide decisions.

  • Take ownership of design quality from concept to delivery, balancing new creative projects with updates, adaptations and recurring communications across formats and markets.

  • Work with other designers, share constructive feedback and help maintain a high standard of creative work across the studio.

  • Work closely with Account Managers and the wider Global insurance broker studio, communicating progress, clarifying requirements and raising changes to scope, priorities or delivery risks early.”

What you’ll bring

  • Around 7+ years of design experience, with a portfolio that shows original thinking and the ability to take a brief through to a finished solution.

  • Strong presentation design skills, including visual storytelling, narrative structure and the ability to make business content engaging and clear.

  • A strong foundation in typography, composition, art direction, imagery, visual hierarchy and information design.

  • Exceptional design craft, with expert command of PowerPoint and strong proficiency in InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, producing beautifully designed, editable presentations and professional print and digital materials.

  • Confidence discussing ideas, explaining design decisions, asking questions and working constructively with feedback.

  • Strong brand judgement, with the ability to quickly understand Global insurance broker’s visual identity and apply it creatively and consistently across formats, audiences and markets.

Portfolio

A portfolio is essential. Please include examples that show how you approached a brief, developed an idea and used design to solve a communication challenge. Presentation work is important, alongside reports, brochures or campaign materials that demonstrate your range. A short explanation of your thinking behind selected projects is welcome.

You’ll report to the Lead Designer and collaborate with the wider Onshore studio. Experience in insurance or financial services is useful, but not essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
