About the Role

MN Engineering Solutions is looking for an experienced Project Manager – Controls Engineering & Digital Twin to lead our Controls Engineering, Industrial Automation, Digital Twin and IIoT projects.

The ideal candidate will be a technically hands-on leader with strong experience in industrial automation, PLC/SCADA systems, IT/OT integration and Digital Twin solutions. The role involves leading a team of approximately 7 members, managing end-to-end project execution, and working closely with management and US clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end Controls Engineering, Automation, Digital Twin and IIoT projects.
  • Design and optimize machine, process and equipment architectures based on customer requirements.
  • Lead PLC programming, troubleshooting, HMI and SCADA implementation.
  • Manage PLC-to-robot and industrial automation integration.
  • Lead equipment installation, commissioning and technical troubleshooting.
  • Analyze customer IT/OT/IIoT environments and develop digital solutions.
  • Lead Digital Twin, IIoT, data integration and real-time analytics initiatives.
  • Translate customer requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Conduct technical discussions, design reviews and solution presentations with customers.
  • Support sales/business development teams during solution development.
  • Lead, mentor and technically guide a team of approximately 7 engineers.
  • Ensure project quality, timelines and successful end-to-end delivery.
  • Coordinate with management, engineering teams, OEMs and customers.
Key Technical Requirements

Strong hands-on experience in:

  • PLC Programming & Troubleshooting
  • HMI & SCADA
  • Industrial Automation & Controls
  • Digital Twin & IIoT
  • IT/OT Integration & Industrial Communication Protocols
  • PLC-to-Robot Integration
  • Electrical Control Systems / PCB Design
  • AutoCAD Electrical / EPLAN
  • Industrial Simulation & Automation Tools
  • Automation Architecture
  • Installation & Commissioning
  • Solution Engineering & Technical Problem-Solving
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Automation, Instrumentation, Mechatronics Engineering or a related field.
  • 7 - 12 years of relevant experience in Controls Engineering / Industrial Automation / Digital Twin / IIoT.
  • Proven team leadership and project management experience.
  • Strong customer-facing communication and requirements-gathering skills.
  • Experience working in an Engineering Services / Engineering Solutions environment.
  • Experience working directly with US clients/customers will be highly preferred.
  • Willingness to travel internationally, including the US.
Additional Requirements
  • Valid US B1/B2 Visa will be preferred.
  • Candidates with a strong technical background and H-1B Visa will be highly advantageous.
  • Candidates from South India willing to relocate to Chennai may be considered.
