Role Description The Sr. Accountant will manage end-to-end accounting and taxation activities, including ledger maintenance, journal entries, ledger reconciliations, GST filings, TDS filings, advance tax computation, tax related reconciliations and preparation of financial statements in compliance with applicable standards. Responsibilities include overseeing accounts payable and receivable, reviewing transaction documentation, and ensuring timely month-end and year-end closing. The role involves coordinating with auditors, supporting tax computations and filings, and maintaining accurate records for regulatory and statutory compliance. The Sr. Accountant will also analyze financial data, prepare periodic reports for management, and help streamline accounting processes and internal controls. This is a full-time, on-site role based in New Delhi, requiring close collaboration with partners, team members, and clients.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong core accounting and financial reporting skills, including ledger management, reconciliations, and preparation of balance sheet, profit and loss, and cash flow statements.
- Candidates should possess tax and compliance skills, such as working knowledge of direct and indirect taxes, statutory filings, and familiarity with relevant accounting and auditing standards.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in accounting software and office productivity tools, including ERP or accounting systems and spreadsheet applications for data analysis.
- Candidates should possess analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret financial data, identify discrepancies, and recommend process improvements or control measures.
- Candidates should possess strong communication and collaboration skills to coordinate with clients, auditors, and internal stakeholders, and to document work clearly and professionally.
- Relevant academic qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in commerce, accounting, finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA intermediate/qualified) will be an advantage.
- Prior experience in an accounting or audit firm, with exposure to multiple industries, and the ability to manage deadlines and multiple assignments effectively.
